Mad for mustard…

This post wasn’t actually supposed to be going up for a few weeks but after an already manic couple of days and a week that doesn’t seem to be slowing down I decided to put it up today for this weeks post instead as I can’t imagine myself getting the chance to write another one! I have an exciting make-up post coming up next week instead!

I have been lovvvvvving mustard recently (as I’m sure you can tell) it feels like the perfect colour for this time of year and works so well at making an otherwise dull/boring outfit look much more put together! I may have gone slightly overkill with the excessive amount of the yellow shade I added to my outfit but it made something extremely thrown together look a lot more thought out than it actually was and that I can’t complain about!

This chunky scarf I’ve been loving is from New Look, they have such a gorgeous collection, I actually have a mustard snude from there too!

The top I paired with my black trousers was a plain vest from New Look that I tucked in (looking back… I really should’ve wore a long sleeve jumper with this because I was freezing).

This bag is also from New Look! I swear they’re really winning me over recently! I did get to the front door with a plain black bag but after looking in the mirror and deciding that maybe not quite enough people would mistake me for the sun, I went back for the mustard one… obviouslyπŸ˜‚My denim jacket is from Topshop and again, seemed like a fab idea until I spent the rest of the night shivering with an internal chill that nothing could fix after spending the “highs of 4 degrees” day in a vest top, thin jacket and with my ankles out….Finally, the reason why I had my ankles out… basically no shoes go with these bloody awkward length trousers, except for heels on a night out, but even I (who clearly doesn’t know how to dress weather appropriately) wouldn’t go down the woods in a pair of heels…. so these black converse had to do, meaning my whiter than white scarily white awfully white ankles were out on show for the world to see…. fabulous.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, don’t forget to check out my other fashion posts if you like the style of this one! ❀️

Thanks for reading,
