Welcome to Blogmas Day 6!
Have you ever had a palette that’s sole purpose is gathering dust on your shelf? One that’s completely forgotten about and you don’t even contemplate adding to your daily routine? That’s the case for me with the my Morphe Palette’s.
I have three or four Morphe palettes and for some reason, despite how gorgeous they are, they seem to be the last I’d grab while applying my make-up. I’m not sure whether it’s the fact I’m a stickler for routine and tend to go for the same look day in day out (guilty) or whether it’s because the fact the shades don’t have names really bloody annoys me – how can you find a good combo of shades that compliment each other if you need to memorise the freaking co-ordinates of the shades to re-apply the same thing the next day??? Anywayyyy, either way, these palettes tend to get forgotten about so I set myself the challenge of actually using my Morphe 350S for this wintery/Christmassy look! (I did have to workout the co-ordinates though….obvs).
Just looking at this palette makes me feel actually sad at how much time I’ve wasted not using it, look at those pinks/orange tones ahhhh!!
I decided to go for a very warm eye to go with my cool toned lip, to create this I began with the dusky pink shade (4 down, 7 across from the left- I wasn’t joking when I said I’d be using co-ordinates, time to get your year 4 maths out!! 😂). I use this shade as my transition shade in my crease and then go in with a mixture of the deepest pink shades (3 down, 7 across & 5 down, 6 across)in to my crease also.
To add a bit of a festive shimmer to the look I went in with the gorgeous pale pink/silver shimmer shade (6 across, 3 down) all over my lid, and then blended it all out!
I decided against a winged liner or any liner at all for this look as I wanted to keep it very glowy and light, making the perfect quick and easy every day look for December!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, tomorrow there’ll be a roundup of everything I received in the first week of my NYX Lippie Countdown Advent Calendar so stay tuned!
