Keeping with the Christmas tradition over here I thought I’d round up all the things I love about December and pop them all into one very festive post <3
I’m sure by now you’re all feeling as Christmassy as I am, but for those of you who might not be, let me help you get into the spirit with all of my favourite things about this time of year.
<3 First off, the decorations! The best bit about the lead up to Christmas for me is the lights, the tree, basically how everything, even your local Tesco turns super cute and sparkly. Not to mention the fact it’s finally acceptable to have fairy lights everywhere! The photo above was actually taken in London last weekend, blog post will be up in the next couple of days!
<3 The Festive drinks! Who doesn’t want a toasted marshmallow hot chocolate or a gingerbread latte? Popping over to Costa or Starbucks on a dark wintery night is sooo much more exciting with the array of Christmas drinks they have to offer. And why not treat yourself to a brownie while you’re at it? It is Christmas after all!
<3 The woolly hats and Winter attire. I am loving my River Island double pom pom hat this year (even if I do slightly resemble a teddy bear). It’s sooo cosy and is there anything better than getting all snug and warm in your hat, gloves and your winter coat before heading out to brave the cold?
<3 Getting your pets into the spirit! One of my favourite things about December is forcing my pets to be as festive as I am (they don’t hate me I promise!) Who can resist an animal in a Santa hat and a scarf??
<3 FOOD!! Christmas food is just the best thing ever and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. It’s the one time of the year we can all overindulge without feeling too guilty! Another snap from my trip to London last week, these mini pancakes with nutella from Winter Wonderland were honestly the best 5 pounds I’ve ever spent. MMM! Don’t even get me started on how excited I am for Christmas dinner!
<3 Visiting Christmas markets has became one of my favourite things to do before Christmas, they’re so full of excitement and nice food and of course mulled wine (my new favourite beverage… why isn’t this a thing all year round??). I’ve been to York Christmas markets a few years running now and they’re always gorgeous! Of course I visited Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park this year too but I’m going to refrain talking about that and save it for my London post!
I hope this has made you super excited! Let me know in the comments what you love the most about the Christmas period and keep your eyes peeled for my London blog post and vlog coming up in the next few days!
