This is such an exciting post to write! 😀
I know that some of you reading this will probably be blogging experts and attend a lot of beauty events but last Thursday on November 3rd I was lucky enough to attend my VERY first event… an URBAN DECAY EVENT ❤
As you can probably tell, Urban Decay is one of my favourite make up brands, their Naked Palettes being staples in my beauty regime be it daytime or night. So having the chance to travel up to Newcastle to take part in a beauty master class with a load of other North East bloggers was an opportunity I could not miss.
Although a beauty event is something I could have only dreamed of attending when I first started blogging, going alone would have thrown me right out of my comfort zone, and the minute I’m out of my little bubble I’m basically an anxious mess so thankfully I went along with one of my besties Katie, and we met up with some lovely other bloggers, Chloe, Samantha and Rebecca to have a couple of cocktails beforehand to squash the nerves! Who doesn’t love a little dutch courage? (And 2 for 1 cocktails!)
We were greeted at the event by the photographer for the night, Laura Pearman, who took so many photos and basically did our work for us while we sat back sipping on prosecco and stuffing our faces with food provided by Rub Smokehouse!
My favourite part of the night was managing to bag front row seats to watch the super talented Urban Decay team create two looks on the gorgeous model, a day time look and an evening look, while passing around products such as the absolutely insane Full Spectrum Palette and the new All Nighter foundation for us to try out – it’s safe to say we swatched the absolute life out of every product!
To top off a lovely night we were spoilt rotten with goodie bags full of lots of information about current and new products as well as some products to try out! The samples included, Naked Skin Beauty Balm, De Slick Mattifying Powder, samples of eyeshadow shades, Flash, Space, Cowboy and Bootycall, a perfect travel size bottle of All Nighter make up setting spray, Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, After Glow 8 Hour Blush trio, and my fave samples, Naked Lipgloss in the shade Rule and Vice Lipstick in Jilted!
All in all the night was absolutely fab, Laura did such an amazing job at organising the night and it was so nice to finally meet so many bloggers that I’d only ever spoke to over Twitter! Also… who doesn’t want to brag that they’ve been to an Urban Decay event?!
