Travel Diaries: DUBAI

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amaaazing places so far in my life so I thought I’d start a little blog series on some of those places, starting with the most recent… DUBAI ❤

SOFITEL: Palm Resort and Spa

I went to Dubai this time last year with my Mam, Dad and my younger brother and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been… and one of the hottest! Some days getting up to 45 degrees! (Which for someone as pale and freckly as me is STILL apparently not hot enough to catch a blooming tan!!!) Not to mention the humidity that made it feel as though you’re trapped in a boiling hot car with all the windows closed!

We stayed at the Sofitel The Palm Resort and Spa hotel which was beautiful. (That pic up there is the view from the reception area out to the pool and the sea!) There was a number of pools to choose from, the one we favored rarely had more than five people in at once. And the view from the balcony was something you could only dream of waking up to every morning.

POOL DAY: Relaxing by the pool in Dubai

My favourite thing about Dubai was that you got the city views as well as the relaxing break, like a beach holiday and sightseeing trip all in one. One of my favourite views of all was from the top of the highest building in the world! The Burj Khalifa, which we traveled up to the 148th floor to get the most unreal photographs.

Dubai was definately one of those once in a lifetime holidays and I will always remember it. From the heat and humidy, to the huuuuugggeee shopping malls, to the gorgeous food (because who doesn’t like to eat like Buddy the Elf on holiday?) to the most picturesque views. It is by far up there with one of my favourite holidays.
