As I’m sure you all know, the struggle of having to scrape the last dregs of a product out of a bottle or hitting pan on a powder you love is real. But the one good thing is at least we know the products that get a lot of love are worth our money!! (As opposed to those that we used once, maybe twice, and will remain in the bottle of our make up bag for the next few months… guilty!).
So I thought I’d put together a little post on the recent beauty products I’ve ran out of, so at least I can make the best out of a very sad situation! 🙁
First Up: Estee Lauder Double Wear
You’d think Estee Lauder were paying me the amount of times I’ve wrote about Double Wear on this blog! I’ve been wearing double wear on and off for about three years, and honestly, once you get a feel for the amazing coverage and the fact your make up will look just as perfect as it did when you put it on at 8am, to when you take it off at 8pm, it is so hard to use anything else 🙁
At £30 it’s a high end foundation but it works wonders, I vary between two shades which is super annoying, I either go for Ivory Nude or Ecru (when I’m not fake tanned that is). It covers any blemish, including every last freckle on my extra freckly face, and it lasts alllllll day. Even if I’m stood melting in front of hot ovens all day at work!
The product is best applied with a damp sponge, for example the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and I recommend being super moisturised before applying, the foundation, once set, has a matte finish.
My next empty is: Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Now, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this bronzer. Some days I find it works really well, and is a really nice shade for contour as it’s completely matte and not at all shimmery. But other days I just find it a little too heavy on my pale skin, and it doesn’t come cheap at £23.50!
However this product has lasted me over six months and I’ve only recently hit pan! I’m not sure whether I’ll be re-purchasing this product in a hurry though as I’ve found other, high street bronzers to work just as well, if not better!
Thirdly: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade
I love this product!!! I use the shade blonde and it’s the perfect shade for me. It’s kind of a gel formula and it goes on the brows so effortlessly. I use the Real Techniques eyebrow brush from the brow kit to apply this after brushing them into the shape I want!
Although I loveeee this product and it doesn’t overly break the bank at £15 I am very tempted to try Freedom Brow Pomade from Superdrug for only £5 after reading this review! If I do I’ll be sure to write a post!
That’s all the empties I’m going to include in this post but let me know in the comments if you’d like another 🙂
